Classroom Assistant – Burlington
As Classroom Assistant, you will support the classroom teaching team and provide direct care to a child(ren) who needs additional support in the classroom as determined. This role involves assisting with daily activities, providing active supervision, attending child-specific meetings, and completing specialized or required training. This is a 30 hour per week position, approximately 42 weeks/year (based on school calendar).
REQUIREMENTS: The Classroom Assistant shall be at least eighteen (18) years of age, able to comprehend basic written format, and meet at least one (1) of the following qualifications: Has at least a high school diploma OR has completed a GED and completes the Fundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals’ course or the Vermont Afterschool Essentials Certificate within the first twelve (12) months of employment; OR Has at least a high school diploma OR has completed a GED and a three (3) college credit course in child or human development or in school-age care and education within the first twelve (12) months of employment. As a Center Cook / Maintenance person at the Franklin Square Early Learning Center, you will work in an outcomes-oriented, team environment, and will prepare and serve high quality meals and be an integral part of cleaning the center to meet state, federal, and program requirements.

Long Term Classroom Substitute – New Haven
Champlain Valley Head Start (CVHS) is seeking a long-term substitute in the Preschool classroom of our Addison County Early Learning Center in New Haven, VT. This is a full time position, 8:00am – 4:00pm, Monday – Friday from mid-February 2025 – mid June 2025.
