Current Positions Available

Franklin Square Early Learning Center

As a Head Start Preschool Teacher, you will serve as lead or co-teacher in an outcomes-oriented, team environment, and provide safe, healthy, friendly, and developmentally appropriate environments and experiences for children ages 3–5. Motivated Head Start teachers improve the trajectory of children’s lives, including children’s learning outcomes, living standards, and later academic and professional success. If you want to make a difference in the lives of young children and their families, consider joining the Head Start community.

40 hours/week, approximately 42 weeks/year (summer layoff). Starting wage upon successful completion of 60 day probationary period: $24.07 to $28.75 per hour depending on qualifications. Health plan and excellent benefits.

Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related education field; Vermont educator’s license with early childhood education endorsement required; knowledge and experience in developmentally appropriate early childhood practice, child outcome assessment, child behavior management, and curriculum planning, development and implementation; a commitment to social justice and to working with families with limited financial resources; effective verbal and written communication (bilingual abilities a plus!), documentation, and record-keeping skills; valid driver’s license, clean driving record and access to reliable transportation; physical ability to carry out required tasks. Learn More

Franklin Square Early Learning Center

As a CVHS Substitute, you will work “as needed” in an early education classroom setting.
REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma; 1–3 years related experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired; a commitment to social justice and to working with families with limited financial resources; excellent verbal and written communication (bilingual abilities a plus!), documentation, and record-keeping skills; valid driver’s license, clean driving record and access to reliable transportation; physical ability to carry out required tasks, and a can-do, extra-mile attitude.  $20.00 /hour.
