Integrated Arts Academy, Burlington

As a Head Start Preschool Teacher, you will serve as lead or co-teacher in an outcomes-oriented, team environment, and provide safe, healthy, friendly, and developmentally appropriate environments and experiences for children ages 3– 5. Motivated Head Start teachers improve the trajectory of children’s lives, including children’s learning outcomes, living standards, and later academic and professional success. Hiring for Two Positions Starting on Tuesday, August 18, 2026

40 hours/week, approximately 42 weeks/year (summer layoff). Rate of pay during first 60- working day probationary period is $28.08/hour; post probationary rate of pay is $28.76/hour. 

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field and a current Vermont Agency of Education teaching license with an endorsement in Early Childhood Education. Licensure with an additional endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education is preferred. Knowledge and experience in developmentally appropriate  early childhood practice, child outcome assessment, child behavior management, and curriculum planning, development and implementation; a commitment to social justice and to working with families with limited financial resources; excellent verbal and written communication (bilingual abilities a plus), documentation, and record-keeping skills; valid driver’s license, access to reliable transportation; physical ability to carry out required tasks. Hiring for Two Positions Starting on Tuesday, August 18, 2026

40 hours/week, 52 weeks/year. Rate of pay depends on qualifications. 60 working day probationary wage range is $23.73-$28.08/hour; hourly rate of pay after 60 working day probationary period ends ranges from $24.07-$28.76/hour.
