for Head Start Families

There are a number of items which you can donate which Champlain Valley Head Start can distribute to families in need. 

Please note that CVHS only accepts donated goods if they are new items or gift cards, and CVHS can no longer accept any used items.  Please contact Julie Springer at (802) 651-4180 ext. 215, or jspringer@cvoeo.org, to discuss logistics before making your donation.

•  Gift cards to:   
• Grocery stores
• Book stores
• Toy stores
• Department / clothing stores
• Home improvement stores
• Help with Transportation 
• Gas cards / gift cards for gas stations
• Bus passes (10 punch or monthly)
• Chittenden County Transportation Authority (CCTA) (Chittenden County and beyond)
• Addison County Transit Resources (ACTR) (Addison County)
• Passes or tickets to: 
• Vermont State Parks, or local parks which have fees
• Child and family shows at the Flynn Theater
• Plays and musical performances
• Sporting events
• Shelburne Farms
• Shelburne Museum
• Lake Champlain Ferry
• Fitness centers
• Ice Skating at Leddy Pary Arena (Burlington), Middlebury College, or Collins Perley Sports & Fitness Center (St. Albans)
• Bowling alleys
• Other family activities…. 

If you have items to donate, other than those listed above, we encourage you to call Vermont’s 2-1-1 telephone information line.  2-1-1 operators will connect you with social service organizations in your area which are in need of your donation.
