Governor Shumlin Visits CVHS Sites
In Spring 2011, Governor Shumlin visited several CVHS sites, and spent some quality time with children and staff.
Governor Shumlin is deeply committed to early education, health and family services, and Head Start. In Spring 2011, the Governor took time out of his busy schedule to tour several Champlain Valley Head Start sites and spend quality time with children and staff. Visits to Head Start at Sara Holbrook Community Center in Burlington, and to Head Start and Early Head Start at Champlain Islands Parent Child Center in South Hero, were a tremendous success. Governor Shumlin got right into the action and engaged with children around their projects and activities, and commended staff for their outstanding work with children and families.
